Inspired by the popular android game, the first release, Despicable Me was a block buster hit! The computer animated movie amused viewers, regardless of the age. Despicable Me 2 is the sequel to the first version.

Despicable Me 2 is a comedy animated movie. Gru is the villan-turned-hero. He lives a peaceful and normal life with his three adopted daughters, Margo, Edith and Agnes. He runs a jam and jelly business and lives very honestly and happily, with no trace of his earlier villainous life. It is when peace is reigning that a confidential Arctic laboratory is stolen! Everyone is left clueless as to who has stolen is. The group of anti-villain league decides to recruit someone to find the thief, and who but Gru would come to their minds? With his experience as a villain and his present status as a peace lover, Gru gets hired by thespy league, the anti-villain league, to tackle the criminals.

The intelligent Gru with the team of super smart minions investigate the problem. Gru is supported by undercover agent Lucy! He suspects that the thief could be the dead super villain, who surfaces as the owner of a restaurant. Even after several attempts, Gru failes to find the thief. Meanwhile, the son of the super villain who is assumed dead, befriends Margo, the elder daughter of Gru. Margo is love-struck. However, Gru goes out of track.  His crew of minions get kidnapped stealthily.

Gru’s suspicion about the restaurant owner gets confirmed. He is after all the thief who stole the Arctic Laboratory. Before he realizes it, Gru’s team of minions are gradually transformed into monsters by a doctor. Amidst the chaos, Lucy is kidnapped by the super villain. How Gru turns the situation to his advantage and succeeds in his assignment of finding the thief forms the rest of the story.

An interesting spy story, in spell binding animation! How interesting it is to watch the tiny minions perform like super heroes! They have a language of their own and they are always seen laughing, making fun of each other and frolicking. They are a joy to watch and are as much the part of the movie as are the adorable daughters of Gru, Margo, Edith and Agnes. Edith likes to play the spy and Agnes is adorable to no end.
