The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is an animated movie from Warner Studios. It is the sequel to ‘The Lego Movie’. The film is the fourth in the ‘Lego’ franchise after ‘The Lego Batman Movie and ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’. The voice actors for the movie include Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett and Nick Offerman along with Will Ferrell while Stephanie Beatriz, Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph join the cast. The movie revolves around Emmet Brickowski trying to rescue his friends from the Systar system while facing a cataclysm called ‘Armamegeddon.’

After the events of ‘The Lego Movie’, Duplo aliens come to the Lego universe with an aim to destroy it. Emmet tries to reach out to the aliens by building them a heart but they consume it and demand more. Five years later, a teenaged Finn has renamed Bricksburg as Apocalypseburg after rebuilding it. Emmett receives visions of an impending ‘armamageddon’ in the Lego Universe while his friends are kidnapped by General Sweet Mayhem and taken to the Systar System where its Queen Whatevera Wa’Nabi brainwashes Emmet’s friends. Emmet is unsuccessful in convincing the Master Builders to save their kidnapped friends because they think it is time to move on. Emmet builds a ship and journeys to the Systar System with another adventurer called Rex Dangervest. They reunite with Lucy who tells them of Wa’Nabi’s plans to marry Batman.Emmet realises that Rex is the real villain but in the ensuing mayhem, they are thrown into the real world, landing under the clothes dryer. In reality, Finn had smashed Bianca’s creations when he found out that she had taken his Lego figures. Their mother orders them to put the toys away as punishment. Rex tells Emmet that he is a version of the latter from the future and he had experienced these events, and ended up under the dryer, forgotten by Finn. He had changed his appearance and created a time travel machine to help Emmet but was too late. Finn, meanwhile tries to make amends with Bianca. In the Lego Universe, this inspires Lucy and the others to escape and rebuild Wa’Nabi’s world. Lucy saves Rex and Emmet. Rex disappears as Finn and Bianca play together and all becomes well in the Lego Universe.

The film received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Like the previous ‘Lego’ movies, the film caricatures several real-life comic book heroes quite hilariously, making it an enjoyable watch for children.
