Magic tricks for kids! If your kid has started showing interest in magic, then it might just be the right time to bring them into contact with the amazing world of magic tricks and illusions. Who knows, they might even turn out to be a world famous magician in the future. And if you don’t know where to start, then the following magic tricks for beginners will help you start nurturing your child’s talent.
This is one of the best and easiest beginner magic tricks for kids. All it requires is a pencil. That’s it. The performer will shake the pencil in a way that it will appear to be bending violently the audience. But when they examine the pencil, it will appear sturdy, which will send the audience into amazement as to how the performer managed to bend the wooden pencil.
The trick is that the pencil never actually bends. The performer simply holds the pencil slightly to the side of the eraser and shakes it in a way that the pencil will appear to bend. It a simple visual trick. Teach your kids this magic trick and they will instantly get hooked.
Another one of the easy magic tricks to do at home is that of the uncrackable egg. Give a raw egg to your kid and ask them to hold it in one hand and crack open if they can. The child, no matter how hard he squeezes the egg with his one hand, will not be able to crack it. This will probably amaze them so much since they may already have seen eggs being cracked open by a simple tap of a spoon or knife.
You can now explain the trick to them – which is that there is actually no trick, its pure science. The shape of the eggs is such that if you hold it in one hand and try to squeeze it in hopes of cracking it open, it won’t happen. As simple as that.
This knowledge will likely seem like a big secret to them and your kids will start playing this trick with others. However, do warn them that the trick will probably not work with very strong people.
If bending the pencil got your kid excited, then the trick behind bending the spoon will make them more interested in learning magic tricks. And truth be told, this is yet another easy magic tricks for kids to do at school. Again, it involves just a simple object – a spoon.
You hold the spoon right in front of the child and slowly bend the spoon in front of them. But when the kids take back the spoon and try bending it themselves, they’ll find it impossible to deform. This trick too is a visual trick similar to the bendable pencil.
Ask your kid to hold the spoon in one hand at eye level. And while pressing down the spoon, they have to slide the hand on the handle. This gives off the impression that the spoon is bending even though it is not. You kid will definitely like this one a lot particularly since they can use it to trick other kids back at school into thinking that they are strong.
The above were three simple magic tricks that you can teach your kids right away. And if the child masters them and shows interest in learning further about magic, then you can introduce them to more complex tricks. This should encourage them to explore their hidden talents and potential, helping your child become a better magician.
