Simple Ways To Help Keep Your Baby Happy

As a mother, keeping your baby happy and healthy is one of the biggest challenges of your life. Making sure that your child is healthy, happy, and strong is so important and it can be stressful when you child ends up fussy.

Today we are going to take a look at some of the different ways you can keep your child happy and healthy this week, and help them to grow up big and strong.

Make them healthy snacks

The first thing you can do to make your child happier this week is make them healthy snacks to eat during the day. What you can make will depend on their age, but here are two ideas for your young toddler or older baby that will be a great way to keep them energized and happy.

Mini pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk if too thick
  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a jug and whisk until fluffy and light.
  2. Heat up a pan with cooking spray and once hot, add a small amount of pancake mix to the pan – you can fit 3-4 small pancakes in at once.
  3. Cook until bubbling on the surface and then flip and cook for 1-3 minutes.
  4. Store in an airtight container and when your child wants a snack, you can give them this with some peanut butter or chocolate spread for a simple snack.

Oat and honey bars

These bars are great for breakfast for an older toddler and will be good for you too,

Ingredients:

  • 250g rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 50g raisins
  • 50g mixed nuts, chopped finely
  1. Line a baking dish and grease it.
  2. Mix all of your ingredients together in a bowl and then add to the baking dish, squashing down flat.
  3. Bake for 8 minutes at 190C.
  4. Add small cuts into the surface for portion sizes and then leave to cool completely.
  5. Snap or cut the cooled bars and leave them in an airtight container.

Bond with music

Music can be a great way to bond with your baby and to soothe them when they are fussy. Find songs that your baby likes and use these to help relax them when they are fussing or they are about to have a tantrum. One helpful thing to do is play a cd for your child as they go to sleep at night and this will help them to calm down and will lull them into a calming and healthy sleep.

Send them off to sleep

Speaking of sleep – one way to make your baby happier is to ensure they get a good amount of sleep. You can use the Baby Magnet to get your baby cozy and comfy, play some relaxing music, and allow your baby to sleep when they need to. Babies sleep schedules are often very sporadic so make sure you give your baby a chance to sleep when it works for them.
