“Mystery of the Haunted House” is one of the outstanding stories of the first biannual International Short Story Contest 2018 written by Vania Emmanuelle Putri Pelahilla, Sekolah Citra Berkat, Indonesia.

Mystery of the Haunted House

One day there was a boy named Roddy, he love to solve mystery’s and he had a few friends named Henry, Maia, Tina, and Monica.

One day they want to solve the mystery of the Haunted House that lived in front of Monica’s House, “Hey guys, how about we solve the mystery of the house that lived in front of the house Monica !!” said Roddy, “That’s a grat idea Roddy !” “Right Monica” said Henry, “No that’s the worst idea that I ever heard, and no thank you Roddy and Henry I’m scared to do that !” said Monica. “Yeah, I’m scared too !!” “Because I heard that that house in front of Monica’s house was a haunted house !”. “Your just kidding right !” said Henry, “No Henry, I’m not kidding ok, because I heard that story from your Mom and Dad, Henry !!” said Monica, “Yeah I’m agree with Monica because I’m scared too !!” said Tina, “What is wrong with that house anyway !!” said Roddy, “What is wrong with you people, there’s no way that the house in front of Monica’s house is a Haunted House” “OK, you like it or not we must solve that mystery or not we never know the mystery of that house” said Roddy, “OK, I’m in !!” said Henry, “Me too !” said Tina , “ I’m in too !!” said Maia, “If Maia and Tina is in, I’m in too !!” said Monica, “Great we do this tomorow at Haloween at six am !! said Roddy.

When they already have there plan they went to there house and rest. When it already at night Monica write something in her diary all about her day that day an all about tomorow morning. When Monica was done write in her diary she went to sleep. And at 6 am Monica saw her friends outside calling her outside, so Monica went out to her friends. When they want to go in the house in front of Monica’s house the door in the house is opened it self, everyone was scared so they went in. It was dark in the house, so they used their falshlight. Then they saw a sofa and a TV so they rest until tomorow then Monica write something in her diary

SUNDAY, 10TH OCT’ 2018

DEAR DIARY...........

YESTERDAY I’M SO NERVOUS BECAUSE TODAY IS HALOWEEN AND TODAY I’M SOLVE THE MYSTERY OF THE HOUSE THAT LIVE INFRONT OF MY HOUSE. I’M SO SCARED TODAY, BUT I’M NOT SCARED ANYMORE BECAUSE I HAD MY FRIEND’S BY MY SIDE TO BE WITH ME WHEN I WAS SCARED. I HOPE TODAY WAS NOT A SCARED DAY.

When Monica is done she goes to sleep with her friends.

When everyone is awake there trap on a TV, “Let us go, Let us go we will do anything !!” said Henry, “IF YOU WANT TO GO YOU MUST NEVER EVER COME HERE AGAIN”, “OK, were never gonna come here again !!” said Monica. So there free from the TV and Henry saw a light behind the wall so Henry pushed the wall and they saw a man and his computer. Then the man told every thing he did, “OOO I see” “So you build this machine to celebrate Haloween ?” said Monica “Yes thats right” “SO you forgive me” said the man, “Of course we forgive you” said Monica, when they done talking Roddy and his friends walked out, “Wait !!! I want to give you this candy for today’s Haloween!” said the man, “Thankyou sir!!!” said Henry, “Your welcome !!” “Happy Haloween !!!” shout the man

And they lived happily ever after.
