The Colours of the Rainbow
Once upon a time all the seven colours of the rainbow lived happily. But one day red started quarrelling with the others saying “I am the most important colour because I shine in the rainbow and all people love me.” After that orange said “No! Don’t listen to him. I am the most popular colour and there is also a fruit named after my bright orange colour. Then yellow started “No, no, no, no, no! Who will listen to these Blabbery Bushes. I am the most important colour of all. Even the sun shines brightly with my colour.” And then it went on and on like that like green told it is full of the earth’s greenery and blue told it is the colour of the sea and the sky. At last all the colours of the rainbow fell apart and never saw each other again. One day it was raining while the sun was still shining. Everybody was excited to see a rainbow. Everyone waited for sometime but the rainbow did not appear. Everybody was sad. Finally the sun went to the colours of the rainbow and asked “Why you all are separated?” Red answered “All the others are quarrelling that they are the most important colour.” Now all the other colours came and said “Actually red started the quarrel not us.” Red said “No don’t listen to them, I didn’t start the quarrel they started it. Like that again they all started quarrelling until the sun shouted “Stop it!” Now the sun was burning hot in anger and all the colours were scared. “Aren’t you all ashamed of yourselves? Is the happiness of people or quarrelling within yourselves important for you all! Now all the colours were ashamed of themselves and said sorry to the sun. They all again together made an arch around to clouds. All the people were happy to see the rainbow again. The colours never quarrelled with each other again and lived happily ever after!
