The Most Suitable Boy
There lived a boy called Suhas. His father was a school teacher and his mother was running the school for the poor children of the colony. He is the only child of his parents and studied in 8th class. He had always been handling all the activities with a lot of responsibility. One day he was going to school, he saw a poor old lady begging on the road. He was very much moved by seeing the condition of the lady who was trying to collect food from the garbage. Suhas approached the lady and asked if she was hungry. She replied that she didn’t get any food for the last 2 days. Suhas took out his tiffin box and offered his food to the lady. She was full of blessing for Suhas and started crying. Suhas hugged her and offered to meet her again if she wants more food. She blessed Suhas for his kindness.
After this, Suhas left for school. When he entered the school, he saw a lady on the dais of the school. Her face was very familiar to him. Soon, he realised that the same lady was here again in very descent clothes and was standing next to his school principal. The lady was no one else but the one who was offered food by Suhas just a few minutes before. She came closer to Suhas and said, “I was just testing the students who were coming to school. Only you offered food to me.”
This lady was actually the district Magistrate and was looking for the suitable student for the new initiatives by Government for the area. She declared that Suhas is the most suitable boy for this purpose. She declared the trophy for Suhas, and free education for too. He was surprised to know this. All students and teachers applauded for Suhas.
Suhas was given recognition for his nice behaviour and good deed. Perhaps he was the most suitable boy in the school.
Suhas was given Trophy and reward in a function organised by the school. He was called on the stage with his father and mother. The District Magistrate handed over the trophy and medal to him.
All parents were telling their kids to be full of compassion for the poor and weaker people in society. All of them wanted their children to be like Suhas.
Next morning Suhas received a letter from the District Magistrate office for a complementary visit to the Parliament of India. The letter had 3 train tickets and passes to visit the Parliament of India.
He was very happy and he rushed to his parents with the letter and tickets. His parents’ eyes were full of tears. They were all very happy and got emotional. Every parent like to get a child like Suhas.
