The Mouse And The Pencil
Once, there was a little mouse. One day, he was very hungry, so he was searching something to eat in the house of a little boy. After a long time, he found a pencil as the boy was studying in a school.
The mouse ran off to his hole with the pencil, but the pencil begged, “Do let me go”, and said, “I am only a piece of wood. I am not good to eat.” But the mouse didn’t listen to the pencil and take a bite of it so hard.
The pencil said, “You are hurting me, please let me go or let me draw one last picture for you and then you can do whatever you like.” Hearing this, the mouse felt happy and agreed with the pencil.
The pencil drew a big circle, seeing it the mouse asked, “Is that a cheese?” The pencil said, “You can call it so.” Then pencil drew three circle inside the big circle, “Now I can see it’s cheese,” said the mouse. “Look at those holes in it.”
Then the pencil drew another circle under the first one. “That’s an apple,” the mouse said, “Okay let’s call it an apple,” the pencil said. And he began drawing some funny curved things near the second circle, “Are these all cucumbers,” asked the mouse by licking his lips as he was so hungry and he thought he is going to get nice things to eat.
Then after the pencil drew two more things on the top circles. Seeing this mouse squeaked and said, “Now you have made it like a cat. Don’t go on!” But the pencil didn’t stop till it had drawn long whiskers and a mouth on the top circle.
At last the mouse cried out in terror. “It’s a real Cat!” He shouted “Help! Help!”
