The Ghost Attacker
In a faraway country, there was a forest in which there was a small wooden hut. The walls of the hut were made of tree trunks and branches and the roof was made of dry leaves. In the hut, there lived a family of four, Mr and Mrs Williams and their two children, Ben and Mary.
One day, the family had a picnic in their garden on a cloudy windy afternoon. They had just finished their delicious lunch and the children were playing a little game on a mat next to their parents, when all of a sudden, there was a big bang! It was from inside the house. Mrs Williams exclaimed, “Is anyone in the house?” she asked. Nobody had any idea of what she was saying. Mr Williams answered, “But everyone is outside here, let me go and check what had made that sound.” He stood up, went inside the house, stayed for a few minutes and came out with a broad smile. When he came out, he told his wife and his children that it was only the back door opening and closing. They all laughed and sat down to continue their picnic.
After about 30 minutes, Mary shouted, “I can hear some noise from the kitchen. The cutleries are clinging and the cups are hitting one another!” she exclaimed. “Is somebody in the kitchen?” Mary asked. “Is there a ghost in the kitchen?” Ben queried. His parents and sister laughed at his question, but Ben appeared very serious.
When everyone had gone to sleep, Ben quietly climbed down from his bed and sneaked out of his room with a torch and headed towards the kitchen. As he tiptoed towards the kitchen, he noticed the kitchen door was a bit open. He stopped suddenly and pointed the torch to lighten the kitchen and see what was happening. He searched everywhere and found nothing. So he went back to sleep.
The following morning, he jumped out of bed and announced that he has attacked and chased by the ghost disturbing their home. Then his dad carried him up, and jokingly announced “This is Mr Ben, The Ghost Attacker. Everyone, including Ben, laughed joyfully as Mrs Williams and Mary settled down to prepare breakfast.
And the Williams family lived happily ever after.
